On the 31st episode of Channel A variety show Groom's Class 2, Kim Sang-hyuk was shown going on a blind date for the first time in six years since his divorce.
That day, Kim Sang-hyuk, on his first blind date in six years since standing alone, could not hide his nervousness. While talking with the blind date in an awkward atmosphere, Kim Sang-hyuk asked, "Excuse me, if you don't mind me asking, have you had many cosmetic procedures?" which shocked everyone.
In the studio, Song Hae said, "Why would you ask about procedures?" and Lee Seung-Chul criticized, "That's crazy. No matter what, how could you be that rude?" Sitting next to them, Kim Yo-han said, "I don't think this will work for me either," quickly cutting ties, which made people laugh.
Kim Sang-hyuk explained, "I tend to speak frankly. I ask pretty people. How do you maintain yourself these days? I asked as a compliment because your skin seems very well cared for."
In the end, the blind date confessed on the first meeting, "I do take care of my skin diligently. But I thought I was doing it diligently; I went to the dermatologist the day before yesterday, but the last time I went was eight months ago," revealing her procedures. Kim Sang-hyuk tried to smooth things over by saying, "You were born that way."
Kim Sang-hyuk's verbal missteps continued. He said, "If you feel like smoking when you drink, you can step out and come back," which again shocked the studio.
Song Hae reacted, "Why are you like this? You're really ruining the atmosphere," and Lee Seung-Chul said, "This really won't do here." Still, Kim Sang-hyuk explained, "Where is there a physiognomy for smoking? She might be someone who smokes. I really asked to be considerate. Earlier she wanted to drink water but couldn't say a word."
Song Hae pointed out, "Still, procedures and smoking are different," and Lee Seung-Chul added, "This might be the last one for today." Tak Jae-Hoon also said firmly, "Just exchange a compliment and part ways."
The blind date, after the mention of "smoking," asked back, "Do you smoke?" Kim Sang-hyuk replied, "I don't usually smoke, but when I drink a lot, if someone nearby is smoking, I might say, 'Let me have a puff,' and smoke." The blind date drew a line, saying, "The only thing I really care about is smoking. I don't like smoking."
Song Hae shouted, "How could you ask someone who dislikes it so much if they smoke? This blind date is ruined."
