Group KATSEYE member Sophia will take a break from activities.
HYBE-Geffen Records said on the 8th (local time) through KATSEYE's official channel, "Sophia will be temporarily unable to participate in scheduled promotional activities. Prioritizing Sophia's mental health and overall well-being is of utmost importance," it said.
It added, "Sophia is currently receiving the best support, and after thorough consultations with medical professionals, she was advised that sufficient rest and time for ongoing treatment and care are necessary for a full recovery."
It said, "Sophia herself desperately wants to stand on stage with the members, but the health and safety and long-term well-being of our artists are always our top priorities," and "we will closely monitor Sophia's recovery progress and continue to support her recovery journey."
KATSEYE said, "We will check Sophia's condition again in September and will share further news."
KATSEYE recently released the new song "Animal" and entered the U.S. Billboard main song chart "Hot 100" at No. 24, and also reached No. 18 on the U.K. "Official Singles Top 100."
