The boots were a gift Lee Hyun-yi received from Hong Seong-gi during their dating period, and they were chosen by Lee Hyun-yi herself. Lee Hyun-yi said, "Hong Seong-gi came dressed as Santa and brought the rain boots. Then we went on a trip with a couple of friends. But the friend couple had only been dating for a short time," and added, "But the friend couple had a C- brand wallet. I was upset.
