That day Ahn So-hee spent time giving advice to people in their 30s while drinking alone. Among several questions, one correspondent sent a letter on the topic "Should I date?"
She said she had not dated for about seven years and that nagging from people around her about not dating or not marrying had intensified, leaving her to wonder whether she must do it and whether she would regret not doing it later. Ahn So-hee said, "When I talked about similar stories with my older sister or friends, I used to say this: you don't have to get married, but I don't think you need to decide in advance that you won't date or won't get married."
She continued, "If there is a good person, date them. If your minds match so well that you think, 'I really want to see them longer, I want to live with this person,' it leads to marriage, and it could naturally happen that way. It's not something you must do, but there's no need not to do it."
The producers then asked, "People in their early to mid-30s often worry a lot, asking 'career or dating?'"
Ahn So-hee said, "Balance is really important but the hardest part," and added, "When I think about getting married and having children and building that kind of family, age and timing become important; practical realities would change the nature of the 고민, but in any case the feelings between the two people seem more important than the children."
She added, "Whatever choice you make or don't make, I think it's important to make a choice you can take responsibility for."<
