Blackpink will meet fans as a full group in Korea for the first time in about a year to mark the 10th anniversary of their debut. The four members, who are active under different agencies, coordinated their busy schedules to keep their promise to fans.
According to the music industry on the 7th, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa will attend the 10th anniversary fan event "Meet & Greet" to be held on the 8th at the National Museum of Korea in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
Forty fans selected by lottery will take part in the event. Specific times and the venue will be provided individually to attendees.
Blackpink's full-group fan event in Korea is the first in about 1 year and 1 month since the "Born Pink" world tour stop in Goyang in July last year. As some members' overseas schedules became known recently, there were concerns that a full-group event on the anniversary day might fall through, but all four members confirmed their attendance.
The event also draws attention as a collaboration between the National Museum of Korea and Blackpink. Returning with "Deadline" in Feb., Blackpink carried out the "National Museum X Blackpink" project with the museum.
To mark the 10th anniversary, they also unveiled the "Blackpink Heritage Collection" with the National Museum product brand MUSE.
Blackpink debuted on Aug. 8, 2016, with "Whistle" and "Boombayah." Since then, they have expanded their activities beyond music to fashion and advertising, establishing themselves as a leading K-pop girl group.
Their second studio album in 2022, "Born Pink," topped both the U.S. Billboard 200 and the UK Official Albums Chart. In 2023, they became the first K-pop act to headline the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the United States, and last year they performed at London's Wembley Stadium.
