Broadcaster 노홍철 was shocked after taking a taxi in Germany.
On the 6th, a video titled "Ro Hong-chul who lost his passport after riding a bike on a German highway" was posted on 노홍철's YouTube channel.
That day, 노홍철 had planned to ride a bike on an Alps course in the state of Bavaria, Germany, but because the weather was good he rode without setting a destination.
While touring monasteries and lakes, 노홍철 found accommodation in a place between Switzerland, Austria and Italy. Traveling around Switzerland, 노홍철 turned his camera on again five hours later.
노홍철 said, "I refueled and did not close the side bag properly, so I lost the bag. Inside the bag were my passport, all my cash and the bike rental documents." Fortunately, the bag was lying on the road and an elderly couple found it and reported it to the police.
However, because the police could not immediately dispatch, 노홍철 walked to the police station himself, and in Germany it was impossible to drive against traffic even on foot. Eventually a patrol car was dispatched, and 노홍철 paid a fine of about 230,000 won. Fortunately, the bag was found.
The next day, while hailing a taxi to go to the airport, 노홍철 took a taxi after seven attempts, and he was startled by the number "223" on the taxi meter. He worried, "Seram, that can't be euros, can it?" but the actual amount was in euros.
노홍철 spent 253.10 euros on the taxi fare (about 420,000 won) and fortunately was able to catch a flight to Korea and arrive home.<
