Rookie boy group WAYF BOYS announced their entry into the music scene by highlighting their own music and style.
WAYF BOYS (Anderson, Andrew, Ryan, Junmyung, Samuel) simultaneously released their debut single WAYF BOYS DO and its music video worldwide today (7th) at 1 p.m.
"WAYF BOYS DO" is a debut song that embodies WAYF BOYS's identity of choosing and showing the music and styles they like themselves rather than fitting themselves into standards or methods set by others. It connects the five members' different voices and personalities into one energy to show the group's free and three-dimensional color.
In particular, WAYF BOYS signaled their path as a "creator-type group" by actively participating not only in the music and performance of their debut single but also in the visual, artwork and content production process. Rather than forcing members' personalities into a set mold, they preserved each member's character and preferences as they are to complete WAYF BOYS's team color.
Members' ideas were also actively reflected in the performance. Anderson led the stage directing and choreography production for "WAYF BOYS DO," and other members added their own movements and ideas to increase completeness. Rather than focusing on precisely synchronized group choreography, they emphasized members' expressions, attitudes and free movements to realize a "crew mood" that becomes more intense when the five are together.
The artwork and visuals were also produced based on the members' opinions. Instead of separating music, performance and content into individual outputs, WAYF BOYS connected what they genuinely like and the direction they pursue into one flow to more clearly reveal the group's identity.
The released music video captures WAYF BOYS's unbridled energy and the members' natural relationships intact. Through scenes where different characters blend together, it visually expressed the group's attitude of moving and expressing themselves in the ways they want rather than fitting themselves into someone else's mold.
Before their official debut, WAYF BOYS performed on the Waterbomb Seoul 2026 stage in June and first revealed "WAYF BOYS DO," generating buzz. Despite being rookies, they heated the venue with stable live vocals, relaxed stage manners and intense performances, raising expectations for their official debut.
Content previously released through their official social media also showed WAYF BOYS's colors. From acapella videos to content capturing the members' natural chemistry, they drew domestic and international fans' attention by foregrounding the members' real selves and personalities rather than a uniform idol image.
WAYF, the agency, said, "We believed the most definite way to answer expectations for 'WAYF BOYS' is ultimately through music and the stage," and added, "Because the members directly participated not only in performance and choreography but also in artwork and content production, 'WAYF BOYS DO' most honestly captures who they are as a team."
WAYF BOYS said, "We are excited to be able to now show the energy we shared with fans at 'Waterbomb' through an official song and music video," and added, "As the first song that contains the music and style we like and the ideas we created together, we hope people enjoy it freely."
