The published photos showed a neat lunchbox that captured both taste and health, including 'bu-reo-eom little kimbap' carefully wrapped by Park Ji-yeon herself, 'pan-fried tofu in fried tofu pouch,' and 'soybean paste pumpkin leaf wrap' topped with ssamjang, which drew admiration.
In the past on SNS, Park Ji-yeon recalled, "When I heard my husband talk about the home-cooked meals he had as a child early in our marriage, I promised, 'I must make home-cooked meals,' and it's already been 17 years since I started cooking with clumsy skills," noting that the cooking she began for her husband Lee Sugeun has now continued for 17 years.

Despite undergoing treatment for health issues, she has been packing lunchboxes every dawn to take care of her busy husband's meals.

Meanwhile, Park Ji-yeon married Lee Sugeun in 2008 and they have two sons.
In 2011, during her second pregnancy she developed preeclampsia, which worsened her kidney function, and she received a kidney from her father, but it did not settle well; after receiving dialysis treatment, medical staff recommended a re-transplant in 2021. Fourteen years after the first kidney transplant, in August 2025 her older brother stepped forward as a kidney donor and she successfully underwent a re-transplant.
