Actor Kim Min-ha reveals an unusual "naengsopa (naengmyeon+soju)" preference.
The sixth episode of the MBN·Channel S variety show Moo No Plan, airing at 9:10 p.m. on the 7th, features Jun Hyun-moo and KwakTube (Kwak Jun-bin) visiting an old restaurant in Incheon known for Hwanghae-style Baengnyeongdo naengmyeon with global trending actor Kim Min-ha.
That day Kim Min-ha appears in casual attire and names naengmyeon as her favorite food. Jun Hyun-moo then leads the two to a Hwanghae-style Baengnyeongdo naengmyeon restaurant that has carried on its reputation since 1973. Upon arriving at the restaurant, Jun Hyun-moo introduces the anchovy sauce on the table, saying "they put this in the naengmyeon," and recounts a bittersweet anecdote from the past, saying "once on a variety show I drank three sips of this and later vomited behind the set."
When KwakTube shows curiosity, Jun Hyun-moo immediately pours anchovy sauce, and after tasting it KwakTube says, "It's okay? Why is it so mild?" looking puzzled. But after checking the cup, Jun Hyun-moo snaps, "Hey! You didn't eat any and what kind of pantomime is that?" and erupts, turning the scene into a sea of laughter.
Then Kim Min-ha confesses, "I really like soju. Especially I like pairing soju with naengmyeon," revealing her "naengsopa" preference. Asked about her drinking capacity, she shyly answers, "I drink about 2 to 3 bottles of soju," then empties her first glass in one gulp, surprising Jun Hyun-moo and KwakTube.
Shortly after, Hwanghae-style Baengnyeongdo naengmyeon appears before the three, and after tasting the cloudy broth and buckwheat noodles Kim Min-ha exclaims, "It's different. It's completely different," pouring out praise. Jun Hyun-moo also enjoys the naengmyeon in various ways, adding anchovy sauce, special seasoning and broth to convey the dish's appeal.
During the meal the conversation turns to Kim Min-ha's appearing film Hana Korea. When explained that the work is based on the true story of a defector, Jun Hyun-moo suddenly performs a North Korean dialect, drawing laughter, and Kim Min-ha wittily replies, "That's amazing. I can only do the movie lines. It's something like 'piercing through the barbed wire~' " completing a perfect rapport.
