Actor Ban Min-jung expressed embarrassment when news of her wedding was revealed as she becomes a late bride at age 46.
Ban Min-jung will hold a wedding with her non-celebrity partner at a location in Seoul on Sept. 6. The groom-to-be is a businessman who is one year older, and the two reportedly met through an acquaintance and grew their love.
When the matter was reported, Ban Min-jung said in a currency with OSEN on the 6th, "I didn't really want the article to come out so I only sent (the invitations) to acquaintances.." and expressed surprise.
As she is currently focusing more on activities as an educator than on projects, Ban Min-jung, who had been preparing carefully for the wedding, seemed taken aback by the sudden news and remained tight-lipped.
Ban Min-jung debuted in 2001 with the film 'Undeliverable' and appeared in dramas such as 'School 4', 'Yeon Gaesomun', 'On Air', 'Glory of the Family', 'Obstetrics and gynecology', 'Dong Yi', 'You Who Rolled In on a Vine', 'Bridal Mask', 'Good Doctor', Hwarang, 'Geum-iya Ok-iya', and films such as 'Special Investigation Unit', 'Doctor', 'Exterritorial', Decoy and others.
In particular, after winning the acting award in the drama category at the 20th Korea Culture and Entertainment Awards in 2012 for "Bridal Mask," he was recognized for his acting and runs an acting education institution under his name to train juniors. In addition, he has served as a professor in the model and acting department at Seoul Cyber University, a delegate of the Korea Broadcasting Actors Union, an auditor of the Korea Broadcasting Actors Association, and a director of the Center for Press and Human Rights.
