The group Ahob issued a position regarding a vote that was not coordinated in advance.
Ahob's agency F&F Entertainment said on the 6th, "We are issuing our official position because inquiries from fans have continued regarding recent votes held on the Rematch and JK FANDOM platforms."
The agency emphasized, "An artist's singing, bookings and participation in specific activities are matters that require comprehensive consideration of the artist's schedule, condition and activity direction and must go through prior consultation and confirmation with our company," and added, "Our company has not received any proposals or consultations in advance regarding the OST in question."
It continued, "Participation in singing for an OST is finalized after sufficient discussion with the agency about project information, the song to be sung and its lyrics, production schedule and contract terms," and explained, "Even when a vote is conducted on the premise of an artist's participation, prior consultation and consent with the agency are required before candidate selection and disclosure, but regarding this vote no consultation was held with our company from the candidate selection stage."
The agency said, "For votes and events conducted on the premise of an artist's participation without prior consultation with our company, the artist's participation is impossible regardless of the result," and added, "This is not intended to restrict or criticize fans' voluntary support activities, but is guidance to prevent additional confusion regarding artist activities that have not been confirmed in advance."
Meanwhile, a platform earlier held a global fan vote to select the person who would sing the KBS2 "Love On The Menu" OST, and Ahob recently placed first.
