The group &TEAM released a sensuous trailer reminiscent of a poem, raising anticipation for their new album to a peak.
&TEAM on the 5th at 6 p.m. unveiled the trailer "Trailer : The First Mark" for their Korean mini album 2nd "Mark on Me", which will be released on Sept. 8, via HYBE Labels' official YouTube channel. This video metaphorically depicts the process of boys who imprisoned themselves in ice because of long-standing wounds meeting "you," who accepts even those traces, and regaining their freedom.
The trailer begins heavily with member Eui-ju's Korean narration, "Everyone thought it was a wound, so they hid it." It then alternates with a confession, "You were the first to read my wound," and touches that stroke a scar, and the nine members' multilingual narrations whispering in four languages including Korean and Japanese increase the video's immersion.
The narrative turning point comes at the moment the ice melts. As they share breath and warmth with each other, the solid ice collapses, and the sight of the boys swimming through the waves offers a sense of liberation from the shackles of the past. The nine members also enhanced the narrative's persuasiveness with restrained emotional acting, from trembling gazes to graceful movements after emerging from the ice.
This is organically connected to the prologue video "The Wolf Who Loved Red" released earlier on the 2nd. If the prologue depicted the story of a wolf tamed by love in a fairy-tale tone, this trailer delves deeply into the "reason" the wolf willingly gave its heart. The two videos of contrasting moods connect, foreshadowing that &TEAM's unique "wolf DNA" universe will expand even further.
