Singer Le Chanwon proved his widespread popularity, and his in-person review drew attention.
On Aug. 6, the KBS 2TV variety show Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant featured Le Chanwon visiting Brewmaster Yun, Yun Nara, to learn cooking.
That day Le Chanwon told Yun Nara, "I thought I had met the older sister I lost in my childhood," saying they had many similarities and creating a warm atmosphere. The panel even joked, "she could be the sure-fire madam of a tavern," drawing laughter.
Afterward, residents of Haebangchon heard the news that "Le Chanwon has arrived" and gathered in one place. The elders marvelled, "in person, his face is much smaller." In particular, a longtime fan said, "I have bought every product Le Chanwon has advertised so far," showing exceptional fandom. She added, "he has filmed 23 commercials so far," and when another elder's phone ringtone sounded, Le Chanwon laughed, "the caller tune is also my song 'Sijeolinyeon'," looking fondly at the fan's affection.
Meanwhile on that broadcast, the cast praised Le Chanwon's kind and caring personality, saying, "he reminds me of a young Choi Soo-jong," and "the future bride must be really lucky."
At the end of the broadcast a preview was released raising expectations, showing next week's golden network of connections all appearing together.
