Rookie boy group AEN is finally lifting the veil and making a bold bid for the music scene.
AEN (Jiyong, Bomin, Gyuhyun, Haru, Junseo, Kyra, Haruto) will simultaneously release their first mini album [A NEW ERA OF NOW] in Korea and Japan today (5th) at 6 p.m. on various online music sites and begin full-scale debut activities. This album, expressing the differentiated ambition to open a "new era of the present moment," will showcase AEN's own fearless first step.
Even before their debut, AEN attracted attention in the music industry with an exceptional presence. After successfully completing a greeting showcase in Japan in June, they have built a team color that moves between realistic youthful sensibility and a mysterious atmosphere through concept photo narratives continuing with "Always," "Everywhere," and "Next to You." In particular, after Jiyong, Bomin, Gyuhyun, Haru, Junseo and Kyra made their mark last year through Starship's mega global project "Debut's Plan," new member Haruto joined, creating a perfected global combination of four Koreans and three Japanese members.
The debut mini album [A NEW ERA OF NOW] is packed with a total of 10 tracks, including five Korean and Japanese versions. The debut title track "X to Z (Next to me)" is an electronic rock fusion genre combining electric guitar and synth bass, delivering a passionate message of crossing any boundary to protect each other's side. In addition, they are expected to prove their distinctive musicality with a spectrum that freely crosses genres, from the heavy synth riff of "Clockwise," the refreshing house dance pop "Focus On Me," the addictive electronic pop "CHILLS," to the funky hip-hop–based "HIGHFIVE."
As a mega global project group presented by Korea's Starship Entertainment and Japan's Amuse, the local response is also hot. Even before their debut, they drew intense attention from major local Japanese media such as NHK and TBS and sports newspapers.
