The group TWS returned and immediately took No. 1 on Japan's Oricon chart.
PLEDIS Entertainment Co. said on the 5th, "TWS's second Japanese single, 'SODA SODA,' sold 161,253 copies on its first day of release and ranked No. 1 on the Aug. 3 Oricon 'daily single ranking.'"
In particular, TWS drew attention by proving its growing popularity in Japan with this single. 'SODA SODA' exceeded the first-week sales of TWS's Japanese debut single last year, 'Nice to see you again' (original title はじめまして/하지메마시테), which was 150,000 copies.
This is more meaningful in that it shows TWS's popularity in the Japanese market is on the rise.
Also, TWS's new single title track, 'SODA SODA,' entered Japan's Line Music real-time "Song Top 100" and ranked 12th on the "K-pop Top 100." Given the meaningful results from the first day of release, TWS's upward trend is expected to continue.
