DAY6 Young K unveiled a big flex worthy of a "copyright-rich" person.
On the 4th, a video titled "The case where he locked the door but didn't lock his phone | EP.151 Young K" was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'Salon Drip2'.
That day Young K said he plays games on his days off and brought up the online gaming gathering called "jeongmo." He said "If we meet offline, I'll pay for the meal," revealing his generous side. He also invited Jang Do-youn, saying "You can just come to eat. I have actor friends, teachers, and people with a wide variety of jobs," drawing attention.
Young K also explained why he mixes with a variety of people. He said, "Because I write lyrics and compose, I deliberately meet people from a wide range of occupations. I get musical inspiration, play games, and talk about life," and added, "We always end up going to karaoke," which drew laughs.
He then revealed behind-the-scenes stories about gifts for his members. Young K said, "I once gave a computer as a gift to play games with Dohun," and added, "I've given my members expensive gifts many times." However, he explained, "Now we've agreed not to give each other gifts. After debuting more than 10 years ago, we decided to skip birthday presents." He went on to say, "The last thing I gave was a note-shaped massager to Wonpil. I hesitated but swiped my card coolly," creating a warm moment.
Young K is DAY6's lead singer-songwriter who participated in many songs including the signature hits "You Were Beautiful," "So That It May Be One Page," and "Welcome to the Show." As of the broadcast, the number of songs registered under his copyright reaches 219, and this year he was promoted to full member of the Korea Music Copyright Association, receiving recognition for his achievements as a creator.
Earlier, in the YouTube content 'Zzanbro,' Young K said, "I couldn't have debuted without good songs. Composing was a way to survive," and joked, "By the number of compositions, I caught up to senior G-Dragon, but the royalties are not comparable."
