As the film "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" rewrote global box office history, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige opened up about the future plans of leads Tom Holland and Zendaya.
On the 3rd (local time), according to U.S. outlet Variety and other foreign reports, Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, said in an interview, "Tom Holland will take a break after finishing the global publicity tour," and added, "He and Zendaya are more than deserving, so they will enjoy a sweet and comfortable victory vacation."
"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" earned $360 million in North America in its opening weekend and $932 million worldwide, breaking the previous record for the biggest opening held by Avengers: Endgame (2019).
In response, Kevin Feige said, "It's honestly surreal to find ourselves in such an overwhelming position on a Monday morning," and reflected, "I couldn't be happier that our 38th MCU film broke Endgame's record."
In particular, Tom Holland and Zendaya have been busy recently, handling not only "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" but also the global promotion for Christopher Nolan's new film "The Odyssey" back to back.
Kevin Feige praised, "The magical formula completed when the character created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko met an actor like Tom Holland," and said he intends to give the two exhausted actors plenty of rest for a while.
Meanwhile, the Tom Holland- and Zendaya-starring film "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is currently showing in theaters to favorable reviews.<
