On the 4th, Christopher Nolan, director of the film Odyssey, scheduled to be released on Aug. 5, appeared as an interviewee on SBS' News Hunters, drawing attention.
That day the anchor opened by saying, "We came across an overseas media interview in which he said that because Odyssey was such a massive work, it was so exhausting that he wanted to take a break for a while."
He joked, "Fans are cheering, 'Now, right away, quickly, hurry,'" and Christopher Nolan began to reply, "Today I had the opportunity to talk with director Park Chan-wook for a long time."
Nolan recalled, "As we were finishing the conversation, Director Park asked what my next film would be. I answered that I did not know. I really don't know. Then Park Chan-wook said, 'Enjoy your vacation and rest a bit. But don't rest for too long. I definitely want to see your next work,'" he remembered.
He added, "To be honest, hearing that made me very tired. But he is an outstanding film director. I have long admired Director Park's work. I have been watching the activities of Korean filmmakers with great interest," he confessed, bringing laughter.
