KISS OF LIFE recently held an interview at a cafe in Gangnam-gu, Seoul to commemorate the release of their third single "SWEAT" and discussed various topics about the new album.
Having earned the moniker "summer queen" through summer activities such as "Sticky," KISS OF LIFE said, we are very grateful to be given the title of "summer queen," and just as one must act according to the weight of a crown, we also thought more, worked harder and prepared more for this comeback. After the hit of "Sticky," the pressure to be different from before must have been great. Julie said, it would be a lie to say there was no pressure. Because "Sticky" thankfully received so much love and attention, we worried a lot about what new image we could bring, but in the end I think the reason "Sticky" received so much love was that the public recognized that we were truly enjoying and feeling happy with that song. This time as well, whatever change there is, if we are confident and show that we sincerely enjoy the music, I thought we might receive that same attention and love again, so we prepared with the mindset of doing what is ours again, she explained.
Outstanding live shows and extreme performances are KISS OF LIFE's greatest weapons. Bell said, these days I think music can be not only something you hear but also something you see. If what is seen does not exude vitality, it can feel lacking. Because our group's strength is performance and we prepare sincerely, we prioritize the importance of music and performance. To balance things, we approach the live stage calculationly to decide which parts will show vocals and which parts will show movements so the tension can be maintained without boredom. Having recently marked their third debut anniversary, they garnered exceptional popularity to the point of being called a "miracle of small and medium idols." The members said, even people around us and we ourselves have asked, "Has it only been three years?" because it feels like we packed it all in. Hearing such comments made us very proud. We felt we really spent our time meaningfully, and we are very grateful to the fans and company people who made it possible, they expressed thanks to fans.
Asked when they felt it was real, they said, we do not spend much time at the company building so we didn't feel it, but recently during a meeting I went into the CEO's office for the first time and it was really well set up.
