The group aespa decorated their first Lollapalooza stage with a sizzling festival performance.
aespa took the Allianz Stage at Lollapalooza Chicago, held at Grant Park in Chicago, U.S., on the 2nd (local time).
aespa, who performed a setlist of 14 songs, overwhelmed the atmosphere with seasoned stage manners befitting their seventh year since debut and powerful energy.
Opening the performance with "Black Mamba" and "Next Level," aespa performed mega hits that had been loved by global fans, such as "Armageddon," "Supernova," and "Whiplash," consecutively with a band live session.
On the "Switchblade" stage, they surprised audiences with a joint performance featuring Ty Dolla (Ty Dolla $ign), and they also consecutively performed tracks from their second full-length album, including "LEMONADE," "WDA (Whole Different Animal)," "Can't Help Myself," and "SHAKIN'."
aespa then brought the first Lollapalooza appearance to a successful close by raising the concert's heat to a climax with a setlist that covered a wide musical spectrum and high-quality performances, including "Rich Man," "Bubble," "To The Girls," and "Hold On Tight."
After finishing their first Lollapalooza, aespa said it was truly an honor. They said many fans sang along and cheered passionately, which allowed them to really enjoy the stage. They added that they want to carry the good energy they received this time into their upcoming world tour.
Ty Dolla, who also appeared on stage, said it was truly meaningful to be able to return to the Lollapalooza stage with aespa. He said he had watched aespa grow so he was very proud, and seeing them fill such a large stage with their own energy inspired him greatly. He added he wanted to congratulate aespa once again for showing a great performance.
