Actor Ethan Slater, who split from pop star Ariana Grande, is unlikely to reunite with his ex-wife.
On the 2nd (local time), TMZ reported that Ethan Slater would not reunite with his ex-wife Lily Jay even after his split from Ariana Grande.
A source close to Jay told the outlet that she would "never get back together" with Slater. The two have a 3-year-old son, Ezra, and they are co-parenting.
Slater also says he is not trying to win back Jay, his former high school sweetheart and wife. They are only interested in their son's joint upbringing.
Slater and Jay were married for about four years, but split when Slater filed for divorce in 2023. At the time, rumors circulated that he was dating Ariana Grande, who had split from her husband Dalton Gomez. A week after that, when he filed for divorce, he was also embroiled in allegations of an affair.
At the time, Jay strongly criticized Grande through U.S. entertainment outlet Page Six, saying her family were "collateral victims."
Slater and Grande met on the set of the film "Wicked," and they denied the affair allegations, saying they "did nothing wrong."
A source at the time said, "Jay is understandably angry because her marriage fell apart, but Ariana and Ethan did nothing wrong." The source added that Slater had already been separated from Jay for two months before he began dating Grande.
Grande and Slater dated for about three years until their split was revealed in June. The two met each other's families and appeared together at awards shows and other public events. Grande is reported to have reunited with her ex-boyfriend Ricky Alvarez after the split.
