The original 'Mambo Girl' broadcaster Lee Seon-jung candidly revealed her feelings about her ex-husband LJ (El J).
Recently, on Lee Seon-jung's channel "Lee Seon-jung chooses," a video titled "Mambo Girl Lee Seon-jung × Kim Bu-yong 30-year friendship bombshell remark extravaganza!" was posted.
In the video, Lee Seon-jung had a pleasant meeting with singer Kim Bu-yong and actress Lee Yeon-su. Dating and marriage topics came up, and when Lee Seon-jung's dating history was mentioned, Kim Bu-yong said "I had completely forgotten (about Lee Seon-jung's divorce)." Lee Seon-jung responded, "It was so long ago that you could forget."
Then Kim Bu-yong suggested, "Invite that child once," adding, "If you drink and talk about this and that, you'll get 1 million subscribers quickly," proposing to invite her ex-husband El J. He added, "Should I set him up? Tell him to come out once?" which drew laughter.
Lee Seon-jung waved her hands and laughed, and Kim Bu-yong said, "Live with everything resolved, live well with good feelings."
Lee Seon-jung also sincerely revealed, "I don't have bad feelings toward him. When a person expends all their emotions, there is no regret. So I don't have bad feelings toward him." Kim Bu-yong then said, "I don't know because I've never been divorced," which again set off a wave of laughter.
Lee Seon-jung married LJ in 2012 after dating for 45 days, but it became a topic of discussion when it was revealed they divorced about four months later. She said, "At that time I was so miserable I wanted to die, I had severe panic attacks and was sick, but as time passed—even a long time like 14 years—and I became somewhat numb, I thought it could be that way. Back then, if you divorced, people would say 'she divorced,' and you couldn't do broadcasts. But now divorce isn't even a stain. These days I want to move forward from the slightly withdrawn version of myself."
He said he struggled with the sharp public opinion directed at him at the time, "The media portrayed me only in a negative light, so I was stressed. So by doing just one final interview, the other outlets quieted down. If you don't speak, don't they treat you like a scarecrow? So I said just one thing and that was it," he confessed.
