Broadcaster Seo Jeong-hee confessed why she does not cut her long hair and recalled the time during chemotherapy.
Seo Jeong-hee posted a lengthy message on her SNS on the 3rd, saying "a summer when you hear the word heat wave several times a day."
She said, "On days like this I also wonder, 'How cool would it be if I cut my hair?'" but added, "I still cannot cut it. For me, this hair is not just hair."
She then recalled the time she underwent chemotherapy. Seo Jeong-hee wrote, "I remember the time when my hair fell out because of chemotherapy, the time I had to accept the unfamiliar me in the mirror, and the days I endured while waiting for my hair to grow back." She also recalled, "I remember the moment I cautiously touched the small, downy hair that first grew and felt, 'I am living again.'"
In particular, she said, "This hair is not just long hair but the time I endured and a record of the days I lived again," and conveyed honestly, "So I still cannot cut it easily."
In response to Seo Jeong-hee's confession, fans sent support such as "You can feel how much time is contained in a single strand of hair," "I'm glad she regained her health," and "I hope only happy days fill her future."
Meanwhile, Seo Jeong-hee was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022, underwent surgery and treatment, and has since recovered her health. She is currently in an open relationship with architect Kim Tae-hyeon, who is six years younger than her.
