On July 31, a video titled "broadcaster Cho Young-goo | It's no use after they pass away. The true meaning of filial piety that Cho Young-goo pleaded about in tears" was posted on the YouTube channel "Parents Laboratory."
That day Cho Young-goo said his mother passed away two years ago and recalled, "My mother couldn't sleep at all and just cried. She said her back hurt so much she couldn't live. I heard her say she was in pain so often that I told her, 'Mom! If you're in pain, take medicine and exercise!'"
He added, "Seeing my mother unable to sleep and suffering, I felt I couldn't let it go, so the next morning I took her to the hospital. Because she was in so much pain, she had surgery. Afterwards she suffered and passed away 40 days later."
Afterwards Cho Young-goo confessed, "My mother was very healthy and mentally alert. Even the day before the surgery, despite her back hurting, she made kimchi for the elderly. If I hadn't taken her to the hospital, she might have lived longer, and that became a regret in my heart," which drew sympathy.
