Actor Yoon Kyung-ho delivered a lengthy message of thanks after winning the best supporting actor award at the Blue Dragon Series Awards.
On the 2nd, Yoon Kyung-ho posted on his SNS, "I received the best supporting actor award at the Blue Dragon Series Awards for 'Cook Soldier, becoming a legend.' I sincerely thank the many people who congratulated me," he said in his acceptance remarks. He said, "It was truly an unexpected award, so I think I rambled on stage and only cried," and he began, "I wanted to convey the words I couldn't say due to time constraints."
He added, "Thanks to the viewers who loved 'Cook Soldier, becoming a legend,' we were able to win three crowns, including the drama category's best picture and the OST popularity award," and he credited, "From the hot July through March of the following year, the seven months spent with the staff and actors together made this achievement a great joy and reward."
He also showed affection for co-star Park Jihoon. Yoon Kyung-ho said, "To the beloved actor Park Jihoon who played Kang Sung-jae, this work was able to receive such great love because of you," and cheered, "It's unfortunate you didn't win best actor, but in all of our team's hearts you were the best. You know? So you're the best recruit!"
He also left a warm message for Hong-nae, who was nominated for the rookie award, saying, "Cherish the joy of being nominated. I was happy to be able to film with you."
Yoon Kyung-ho conveyed his gratitude by mentioning the names of the producers, actors and staff one by one, then wrote, "I once again felt that it takes the dedication of so many people to create a single work," adding, "I was happy to be able to be one person within that dedication. Let's meet again and create another great project together."
Finally, to fans he vowed, "When I think of your support and love my heart swells and I don't know what to do," and "I will return to my place again while keeping yesterday's grateful feelings. I will strive to bring you more delicious stories to the viewers who loved 'Cook Soldier, becoming a legend.'"
