Singer Sung Si Kyung said he does not sing his own songs while drunk.
On Aug. 1, a video titled "Drunk tales from alcohol & music authorities about conspiracy theories (w. Sung Si Kyung, Choiza, Jurakeworld) | Conspiracy theory" was uploaded to the YouTube channel Spotify.
That day, Jo Seung-won, director general of MBC news, asked, "What's the difference if you sing using the courage from alcohol? Do you sing your own songs? I was really curious."
In response, both Choiza of Dynamic Duo and Sung Si Kyung answered, "I don't sing my songs." While Choiza said he sings Cho Yong-pil songs, Sung Si Kyung explained, "I sing songs that I recently liked and thought I should try. But if I'm not drunk, I absolutely do not sing those songs."
Sung Si Kyung said, "It's not easy to be 80% drunk and have a karaoke machine present. But when I grab the microphone, the people around me go 'wow,' so it feels burdensome. That doesn't mean I reserve my own songs there to sing," and added, "Instead, I try to sing the quiet songs I wanted to try," raising anticipation.
