actor Ahn Bo-hyun revealed how he went from boxer to model and from model to actor.

In the video, Jung Jae-hyung said of Ahn Bo-hyun, "He seems like an upright guy," as his first impression. Jung Eun-Chae also mentioned Ahn Bo-hyun's surprising charm, saying, "He has an image of being manly and rough but is very delicate and likes those things." Ahn Bo-hyun, a former boxer, said, "My middle and high school were sports high schools. I had never fought, but because I was tall I looked like I would be the best at fighting, so I was scouted. My father did kickboxing, so I thought he wouldn't like his son to follow the same path, so I refused, but I tried the boxing club as an extracurricular activity and found it fun. I especially thought I would be good at it, but when I actually tried I wasn't, so I got competitive and started learning and that began it all."
He added that Ahn Bo-hyun was selected for the youth sports festival qualifying round just one week after learning boxing. He said, "I did it secretly, and when I was selected for the qualifying round I gave the money I received to my father, and the school also contacted us so I became a boxing athlete. Then I won a national medal and entered a sports high school." Jung Eun-Chae expressed surprise, saying of Ahn Bo-hyun's innate "strength," "He would bruise from a brief touch; after filming a handshake scene he had bruises," which drew astonishment.
Ahn Bo-hyun, who had lived alone since the second year of middle school, said, "At the time the IMF happened, and one reason I exercised was to take some burden off my family. After the national high school sports meet in my third year of high school, I had to decide my path; if I went to university and continued as an athlete, the final conclusion was to become a physical education teacher. I could join an employment team to get paid while being an athlete, or having won some medals when I was young I could get into the university I wanted with good grades. I told my parents I wanted to become a professional soldier, but my cousins said, 'You're tall, try modeling.' I wondered if it was something I could do, so at 19 I did an experience program. There I met Kim Woo-bin, and it was a different world. I thought I'd try it once, and doing that brought me here."
Ahn Bo-hyun explained how he debuted as an actor, saying, "I only knew buzz cuts and tracksuits, but there were so many stylish men. So I entered a modeling department and went to auditions. Kim Woo-bin said, 'I'm going to Seoul to act,' so I said, 'I'll go to Seoul after my discharge,' and I came up to Seoul." Recalling hard times, Ahn Bo-hyun, who had lived for a long time paying 20 in monthly rent, said, "It was a place where you could even see cockroaches and money-eating bugs fighting. I worked a delivery part-time job and came back, and a typhoon was strong and the place got flooded."
