Christopher Nolan's new film "Odyssey" rose to first place in overall advance ticket sales two days before its release.
On the 3rd, according to the integrated box office network of the Korean Film Council (KOFIC), the film Odyssey (director Christopher Nolan, distributed/imported by Universal Pictures) surpassed 367,000 advance tickets as of 2:51 p.m. that day, ranking first in overall advance sales.
This figure exceeds the advance sales at the same point for Christopher Nolan's previous film Oppenheimer (332,000 tickets), further highlighting that it set the highest advance ticket sales among Christopher Nolan's directed works.
Odyssey is an epic about the hero Odysseus, who led the Greeks to victory in the Trojan War, fighting the wrath of the gods to return home. Starring top actors including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, and Charlize Theron, Odyssey recorded global opening revenue of $264.06 million (approximately 390.8 billion won), setting the highest global opening for a Christopher Nolan film and proving its global box office potential.
