The group JO1 cancels performances due to fallout from protests at Olympic Park.
JO1's agency Lapone Entertainment said on the 3rd that "the performances of 「JO1DER SHOW 2026 "EIEN 永縁" LIMITED EDITION IN SEOUL」 that were scheduled to be held on Sept. 26 (Sat) and 27 (Sun), 2026, at TICKETLINK LIVE ARENA have been inevitably canceled."
The agency explained that "to hold the performances safely, we have been considering multiple measures, including changing the venue, and have engaged in careful and repeated discussions. However, after comprehensively reviewing the situation around the venue and various operational requirements for the performances, we judged that it would be very difficult to carry out the scheduled performances normally."
They added, "We sincerely apologize to the fans who have been counting down the days for this performance," and said, "The personal information of those who agreed to provide personal information for the JO1 OFFICIAL FANCLUB pre-sale will be promptly destroyed in accordance with relevant laws, the privacy policy, and the personal information provision consent rules."
This is the fallout from protests that have continued for two months, in which protesters, claiming "electoral fraud" over the shortage of ballots that delayed voting in some constituencies including Songpa District in Seoul during the ninth nationwide local elections held in June at Olympic Park, have blocked the handball arena that served as a counting center and demanded a re-election.
Accordingly, performances that were scheduled to be held at Jamsil Handball Arena (Ticketlink Arena) have continued to suffer, with some being canceled or relocated.
