'I Live Alone' Park Ji-hyun showed off her advanced Chinese skills.
On the 31st episode of MBC variety show 'I Live Alone,' scenes showed Park Ji-hyun taking a trip to Shanghai, China.
That day Park Ji-hyun said, "When I was young I lived in Shanghai, and I wanted to revisit the place I lived and there are people I wanted to see, so I came to rest on vacation," explaining why she visited Shanghai.
Minho asked, "How many years did you live there?" and Park Ji-hyun answered, "I lived there for about two years from fourth grade to sixth grade of elementary school."
Walking the streets of Shanghai while retracing memories of her childhood, Park Ji-hyun discovered a shop selling zidan jianbing and showed her delight.
Park Ji-hyun explained, "This is really my favorite menu, zidan jianbing. Compared to Korea, it's like hotteok or egg bread. It's dough made from flour and eggs with vegetables and sausage inside. It's so delicious."
She added, "I often ate it for breakfast even in China. The way to know a good jianbing place is that it should be on the street. If it's in a department store, it's not. You can tell by the feeling when you see it."
Joining the waiting line in a hurry, Park Ji-hyun revealed that she spoke with locals in Chinese without hesitation while waiting, drawing attention. When the Rainbow members expressed admiration, she said, "I'm starting to remember a little," and Kian84 marveled, "She can communicate without difficulty."
