'Hangout With Yoo' held interviews for the role of the next female lead in its short drama.
On the 1st, MBC's 'Hangout With Yoo' aired the 'short-form drama - Jjikeoyu' segment, where Yu Jae-seok, HaHa, Heo Kyunghwan and Joo Woo-jae met short-form drama season 2 female lead candidates actresses Kong Hyojin and Kim Won-hee.
Following interest shown earlier by Girls' Generation members Hyoyeon and Yuri, Kong Hyojin and Kim Won-hee were listed as female lead candidates, sparking interest over who would become the lead of short-form drama season 2. In particular, Gwak Beom showcased his multi-player abilities in scriptwriting, directing, acting and art, and conducted staff interviews.
The first female lead candidate, 'Gongbly' Kong Hyojin, said of season 1's script, "It lacks stamina." Competing with season 1 female lead 'Heo In-ok' Heo Kyunghwan, Kong Hyojin suggested, "The OST is good, so rather make a music video," and toward an offended Yu Jae-seok she said, "I've never seen a director get sulky like that."
The second female lead candidate was Kim Won-hee. Yu Jae-seok and his 22-year friend actress Kim Won-hee bickered, and Yu Jae-seok teased Kim Won-hee, who likes Heo Kyunghwan, saying, "You look at faces too much." Kim Won-hee then revealed the secret to why there was no scandal between her and Yu Jae-seok, saying, "If I had looked at appearances, there would have been a scandal between you and me."
After 15 years away from acting, Kim Won-hee said, "I want to try playing a villain." Yu Jae-seok then asked, "You have some money, right?" and offered investment, raising expectations for her joining the project.
Meanwhile, that day's household ratings for 'Hangout With Yoo' recorded 4.2% nationwide and 4.1% in the Seoul metropolitan area.
