A former member of the group Roolla, Ko Young-wook, has again been embroiled in controversy after posting what appeared to be a message targeting singer and broadcaster Le Chanwon's broadcasting activities.
On the 2nd, Ko Young-wook posted on his social media, "Let's not meet next week…," along with a photo.
The released photo showed Le Chanwon appearing on MBC's variety show 'Mystery TV Surprise.' The image captured Le Chanwon raising his hand in greeting, and the bottom of the screen displayed a caption that read "See you next week."
Sharing the photo, Ko Young-wook wrote, "It was 'Surprise,' which I used to enjoy listening to every Sunday…," and added, "Stop being such a distraction and focus on your main job as a trot singer."
Although Ko Young-wook did not directly mention Le Chanwon's name in the post, when the photo and wording are taken together it is interpreted as a remark aimed at Le Chanwon's broadcasting activities, and various reactions have followed online.
Earlier, Ko Young-wook also stirred controversy by posting a series of critical messages on social media referring to broadcasters such as Shin Dong-yeob and Yu Jae-seok.
At the time, he captured a screen from KBS2's Immortal Songs and mentioned Shin Dong-yeob, and regarding Yu Jae-seok's broadcasting activities on MBC's Hangout With Yoo he wrote, "How much richer do you have to be to be satisfied?" He later posted a message defending himself against the criticism surrounding him, saying, "I said something true, so why is everyone making a fuss?"
Meanwhile, Ko Young-wook has recently become the center of controversy by posting successive messages targeting celebrities and broadcasts.
