BTS member Jimin's solo song "Who" surpassed 2.5 billion streams.
Big Hit Music said on Aug. 1, "According to Spotify, as of July 30, BTS member Jimin's solo second mini-album MUSE title track 'Who' surpassed 2.5 billion cumulative streams."
Thus, Jimin achieved 2.5 billion streams in about two years after he released the song in July 2024. It is the highest record among Jimin's solo songs and highlights the global influence of K-pop artists who are popular worldwide.
Jimin's "Who" is a hip-hop R&B track notable for its intense beat that hits from the start. With Jimin's distinctive delicate voice, it sings of the aching longing and confused emotions for someone never met.
When the song was released, it entered the U.S. Billboard main song chart Hot 100 at No. 12 and remained on the chart for 33 weeks.
Meanwhile, BTS said on July 29 through each member's respective channels, "We have decided not to submit to the Grammys this year. We hope music can be heard and loved for its own sake rather than being divided by region or language," declaring a boycott.
