The group KATSEYE set a new personal best with their new song "Animal."
HYBE-Geffen Records said on the 1st, "KATSEYE's 'Animal' ranked No. 9 globally and No. 9 in the U.S. on Spotify's 'Weekly Top Songs' chart released that day. Both charts represent KATSEYE's highest placements to date."
KATSEYE's 'Animal' was the highest-ranking song among those newly entered on Spotify's charts this week (July 24–July 30).
In addition, 'Animal' ranked No. 1 globally and No. 1 in the U.K. and No. 2 in the U.S. on Spotify's 'Top Songs Debut' chart, which tallies newly released songs for the week. It also placed No. 16 on the latest U.K. 'Official Singles Top 100' (July 31–Aug. 6). This demonstrates KATSEYE's popularity and reach in the global market.
In particular, attention on their trajectory grows because KATSEYE has repeatedly hit career highs with 'Animal,' proving an upward trend. 'Animal' surpassed the records of their previous releases on Spotify: 'Gabriela' (global No. 10) and 'PINKY UP' (U.S. No. 14).
Riding their momentum, KATSEYE performed as the opening-day headliner at the 'Hinterland Music Festival' held in Iowa, U.S., on the 31st.
