Broadcaster Do Kyung Wan revealed an anecdote related to the Air Force Academy.
On the 1st, a video titled "Which one: army, navy or air force?" was posted on the YouTube channel DojangTV. That day, Do Kyung Wan and his children toured domestic defense industry sites.
Do Kyung Wan said, "I came to see the tanks, planes and ships that protect Korea" and visited the site that produces army tanks with his children and a shipyard that builds ships and submarines.
Do Kyung Wan told his children, "Because people like these make such weapons and protect us, you can live happily. You should feel grateful."
Afterwards, Do Kyung Wan visited an air force fighter production facility and said, "It is a painful place in my heart." Hearing this, his child responded, "Didn't you previously attend the Air Force Academy and then give up?"
In response, Do Kyung Wan admitted it and said, "A weak person like me couldn't endure it at all, so I gave up halfway and left," drawing attention.
Do Kyung Wan previously explained on a show that he dropped out in the first year of high school, studied again for the college entrance exam to enter the Air Force Academy, but while he was a cadet, he thought he would have to live as a soldier for the rest of his life, so he withdrew and went back to university and became an announcer.
Meanwhile, Do Kyung Wan married singer Jang Yoon Jeong in 2013 and has one son and one daughter.
