"HanArtCollege class of '10 classmates" actors Kim Go-eun and Lee Sang Yi showed close-friend chemistry at the Blue Dragon Series Awards.
On July 31 at Paradise City in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards took place.
That day Lee Sang Yi attended the awards ceremony as a nominee for best supporting actor for a special appearance in the TVING series "The Legend of Kitchen Soldier," and also danced on stage during Mikak Boys' congratulatory performance "My flavor."
Kim Go-eun's wry expression after seeing Lee Sang Yi dancing in a tuxedo was captured and drew laughter.
Later, when Kim Go-eun's name was called as the grand prize winner, Lee Sang Yi stood up and showed a moved expression. His surprised widening eyes and open mouth drew attention.
Kim Go-eun received congratulations from Park Ji-hyun, who co-starred with her in "You and Everything Else," and Kim Jaewon from "Yumi's Cells 3," and her classmate Lee Sang Yi also took Kim Go-eun's hand and smiled.
On stage Kim Go-eun said, "I have never once thought it was natural that I work on projects. So I have tried to approach each project with sincerity, desperation and a sense of responsibility."
She added, "I will really work hard so that actor Kim Go-eun can continue to find new faces and be a performer who arouses curiosity. I hope you will keep looking for me and give me more opportunities. I will work harder."
Meanwhile, born in 1991, Kim Go-eun and Lee Sang Yi were classmates in the class of 2010 at the Korea National University of Arts' School of Drama, where they nurtured their dream of becoming actors. In 2024 they appeared together on the web variety show "Pinggyego," where they revealed college anecdotes and showed their close relationship.
