Actor Jung Eun-Chae shows an unexpected side on her first-ever appearance on "Running Man."
The episode, airing on Sunday the 2nd at 6 p.m. on SBS, delivers nonstop laughter as the special guests' clumsy charm and all-in performances entertain.
That day the members split into a chaebol team and a detective team to find spies hiding within each team, with the chaebol team aiming to escape with a money bag and the chairman, and the detective team aiming to capture the chairman in the "Undercover chaebol vs. detective" Race.
The first mission was "mouthy jokgu," in which teams faced off by placing hints about the spy within the team. With a rule added that points were deducted each time English was used, members fought to avoid slips of the tongue, even putting self-gags in their mouths before playing. In particular, Yu Jae-seok and Yang Se-chan used the English word IN and then offered absurd explanations such as "it's the person in" and "it's the benevolent in," turning the set into a sea of laughter.
Next, Ahn Bo-hyun, known for his physical strength, revealed unexpected clumsiness by misstepping or heading in the wrong direction at decisive moments. Kang Sang Jun also added laughs with a parade of missteps rivaling Kim Jong Kook, the epitome of "development." In contrast, Jung Eun-Chae threw herself into the game and performed heroic headers to save the ball, and watching her, Yu Jae-seok burst out laughing, saying "I thought it was a whack-a-mole game." As guests and members repeatedly used English and made mistakes, they began to suspect one another, asking "how many spies are there anyway?" and the scene quickly turned into a psychological battle, plunging into chaos.
In the lunch mission, the novice variety guests produced surprising performances. After failing the lunch mission, Jung Eun-Chae showed off an unreserved sense of variety by performing awkward b-boy moves with Kim Shin-bi to win a meal. Kim Shin-bi, who revealed she was from Anyang, was instantly accepted by Kim Jong Kook as "Anyang's younger sibling," and when Kang Sang Jun said he graduated from Anyang Arts High School, Kim Jong Kook jokingly drew a line, saying "this one studied abroad," causing everyone to burst out laughing. The guests' performances, hard to believe came from variety novices, raise anticipation for more laughs.
Which team will obtain the decisive hint amid the confusion surrounding the spies, and whether the novice variety guests can continue their surprising performances to the end are drawing attention to the "Undercover chaebol vs. detective" Race.
Meanwhile, Ahn Bo-hyun and Jung Eun-Chae will pair up for the first time in SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama Flex x Cop, which premieres on the 7th. It is a cheerful, refreshing and satisfying cooperative investigation drama in which chaebol detective Jin I-soo overturns cases with his wealth when investigations stall, and new team leader Joo Hye-ra brings her own string-pulling luck. It is a work that forms one pillar of SBS's cider universe, including Taxi Driver, The Fiery Priest and The Judge from Hell, and is attracting attention as the first installment of SBS's 2026 season dramas.
