Sleepy and his wife revealed the reason they underwent in vitro fertilization in their early 30s.
On July 30, a video titled "Sleepy couple's IVF success story" was posted on the YouTube channel '슬리피맞아요'.
That day, Sleepy and Kim Na-hyeon spoke about the pregnancy process. First, Sleepy said, "At first I became pregnant naturally, but then I had a miscarriage once," and his wife said, "I wanted to try intrauterine insemination. I'd rather have twins quickly. So we went to the hospital to get tests and try intrauterine insemination," she said.
His wife Kim Na-hyeon said, "My ovarian age came out in the 0s. I was in my early 30s, but it was almost like being in my 40s. They said I could reach menopause in five years, so they recommended IVF rather than intrauterine insemination."
She added, "So I was very shocked," and Sleepy added, "They also said if we wanted a second child, we should do IVF right away," which surprised listeners.
Sleepy mentioned the hardships of IVF, saying, "My wife usually doesn't say she's in pain. If my wife says she's in pain, it's really painful," and the production team agreed, "But they say that really is famous for being painful." Kim Na-hyeon recalled, "The hysterosalpingography was painful. I thought this really requires sedation."
Meanwhile, Sleepy married a non-celebrity wife eight years his junior in 2022, and they have one son and one daughter.
