Hangout With Yoo's Kong Hyojin shows a not-easily-swayed response to Yu Jae-seok's casting proposal.
On Aug. 1 at 6:30 p.m., the MBC variety program Hangout With Yoo (directed by Kim Jin-yong, Lee Joo-won, Kim Ki-ho, Ahn Ji-seon, Bang Seong-su, Park Eun-jin/writer No Min-seon) will feature Yu Jae-seok, HaHa, Heo Kyunghwan and Joo Woo-jae meeting 'Gongbli' Kong Hyojin as a candidate for the female lead of the short-form drama season 2.
That day Kong Hyojin gives her impressions after watching the first work born of the collaboration between 'director Yu Jae-seok' and 'writer HaHa,' titled "My brother stole my woman and I decided to take her back (Dong-hoom-nae-yeo-da-bbat)," drawing interest. HaHa, who wrote the script, bristles at Kong Hyojin's blunt, fact-bomb-level honest evaluation, and Yu Jae-seok, excited, asks, "Did you come to scratch us?" provoking laughter.
Kong Hyojin also expresses doubts about director Yu's on-set pursuit of ultra-fast, efficient shooting, marveling at his production system, which is in a different dimension from ordinary drama. At Kong Hyojin's following blunt remark, Yu Jae-seok appears visibly scratched.
Kong Hyojin encourages assistant director Joo Woo-jae, saying, "You must be very tired," and then says, "I've never seen a director who sulks like this," again turning Yu Jae-seok's stomach. HaHa and Joo Woo-jae reportedly piled on, saying, "The director is no joke," and "Honestly, he does sulk a lot."
Meanwhile, Kong Hyojin stars in the new MBC drama A Bona fide Killer, which premieres on the afternoon of the 31st. The work depicts the struggle of a working mom with the most brutal job in the world to protect her work & life balance (work & life balance), and she co-stars with Jung Jun-won.
