Group Girls' Generation member Yuri is leaving SM after 19 years.
SM Entertainment issued an official statement on the 31st, saying, "After in-depth discussions with Kwon Yuri, both parties have mutually agreed to conclude their 19-year partnership as of Aug. 31."
It added, "Since Kwon Yuri debuted with Girls' Generation in 2007 and helped grow into a group that represents the era while also shining as an actress, it was a precious time that SM could be part of that entire journey," expressing gratitude to Yuri, who has accompanied us.
It also said, "Although the exclusive contract with our company will end, Girls' Generation's activities will continue unchanged going forward."
