Actress Kim Go-eun received the grand prize at the '5th Blue Dragon Series Awards' and delivered a heartfelt, tearful acceptance speech.
On the 31st, broadcast live on KBS 2TV, Kim Go-eun took home the prestigious grand prize at the '5th Blue Dragon Series Awards'.
When her name was announced as the winner, Kim Go-eun went on stage with an expression of deep emotion and wiped away tears. She began, "Thank you. I am truly honored and delighted to meet seniors and juniors whom I can only see at events like this." She continued, "I felt proud to see that two of the works nominated for 'best picture' were ones I participated in," and added, "I will gratefully accept this award, which I believe was given for working hard."
She did not forget to thank her colleagues who worked with her. Kim Go-eun said, "I thought of many seniors who have supported me," and expressed her sincerity, "I was fortunate to work with such wonderful seniors who I could follow and learn a lot from. I hope someday I can become that kind of senior myself."
Kim Go-eun said, "I have never taken doing a project for granted," adding, "So I tried to approach every project with diligence, urgency and a sense of responsibility."
She said, "I will truly work hard so that people continue to find new faces in actress Kim Go-eun and feel curious about me," and stated her determination, "I hope you continue to seek me out and give me more opportunities. I will work harder," receiving a standing ovation.
She showed affection, saying, "To my family and friends who are watching now, I love you," and once again her eyes welled up.
