Comedian Kim Won-hoon finally embraced the Blue Dragon Series Awards' best male variety entertainer award and delivered a tearful acceptance speech.

When Kim Won-hoon's name was called as the winner, the audience erupted in warm applause. Taking the stage, Kim Won-hoon said, "I actually had hopes even when I received the excellence award," showing his overwhelming emotions. He continued, "When I come to an awards ceremony I always think about what reaction I'll have if I don't win," and joked, "Today, if I didn't win I was going to write the Blue Dragon officials in my death note, but since you gave me the award I'll spare them," using a witty remark that turned the venue into a sea of laughter.
Soon after, with a serious expression he grabbed the microphone and said, "It's an honor to receive such a big award alongside distinguished seniors," adding, "I'm grateful that the passion I put into trying to bring laughter was viewed positively. I'm also thankful to my family who will be rejoicing at home." He also expressed gratitude to Shin Dong-yeob, saying, "Dong-yeob hyung, thank you for always pushing me from behind and pulling me from the front."
In particular, Kim Won-hoon eventually reddened around his eyes. He said, "I have friends I'm grateful for," adding, "Jin-se, Ji-yun, who have been with me since I had nothing, thank you so much. You filled my shortcomings so I could receive this award. I ask for your continued support," showing tears that moved those watching.
