Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, The high school empress tells the story of Joseon's greatest warrior and queen consort Kim Cheong-ha (Kim Se-jeong) waking up 400 years later in the body of a woman who suffered school violence, and the events that follow. It is a story about finding the dreams and love she could not achieve in Joseon while disciplining villains with the dignity of the queen mother and overwhelming martial arts.
In The high school empress, Cho Han-gyeol will work with actors Kim Se-jeong and Bae Hyeon-seong. As the three actors are meeting together for the first time, expectations are rising about what kind of chemistry they will create.
Cho Han-gyeol will play transfer student Lee Do-yoon of Junior Won High School, class 3-2, and King Lee Nyeong, the absolute power holder of Joseon. After his impressive performance as third-generation chaebol Albert Oh in the cable channel tvN drama Undercover Miss Hong, curiosity is growing about how Cho Han-gyeol will complete his character in the new work.
