Comedian Yoon Hyung-bin shared realistic thoughts about marriage, saying, "I'm not in a position to recommend it 100%, but there is certainly happiness that comes from marriage."
Recently, Yoon Hyung-bin released a video on his YouTube channel featuring junior comedians Go Yu-ri, Iyoo-mi, and Lee Su-bin.
That day the three said they were all unmarried and asked, "As a married man, do you recommend marriage?" In response, Yoon Hyung-bin said, "My seniors always told me the truth, but I couldn't understand it before marriage," and he began, "There are good and happy things that come with marriage."
However, he honestly said, "I'm not really the type to say 'absolutely 100% get married.'" He added, "Still, the happiness that comes from marriage is definite," and gave a realistic answer, saying, "It's hard to make a blanket statement." Yoon Hyung-bin, a father of two, emphasized, "The happiness that comes from children is really great," and conveyed the joy he felt after becoming a parent.
This remark drew more attention because it came after he directly addressed recent rumors of discord and divorce. Earlier, on YouTube, Yoon Hyung-bin said, "I'm somewhat stubborn, so if I had married someone else we might have separated," and, "Because it's Jeong Kyung-mi, she seems to control me and live for me," and he discussed realistic concerns of married life, mentioning issues such as getting their child to daycare.
However, those remarks were exaggerated by some and spread as rumors of discord and divorce. In response, Jeong Kyung-mi drew a line on KBS2 variety show Malja Show, saying, "We are living very well. We are living very happily," and when asked, "Does Yoon Hyung-bin come home often?" she wittily replied, "He came yesterday," dismissing the rumors.
Yoon Hyung-bin also denied the divorce rumors on the YouTube channel B-grade Studio, saying, "No. What are you talking about? We're doing well, why would you say that," and explained, "I think a joke among comedians was turned into an article and caused misunderstandings," adding, "Married life isn't lived on fiery love alone but quietly, like an earthenware pot, living as if you're there and not there," sharing a realistic view of marriage after 14 years.
