Comedian Kim Jun-Ho is becoming a 'late-in-life baby' father. His wife, Kim Ji-min, is currently 12 weeks pregnant.
On the 30th, Kim Ji-min posted on social media, "In 25 last year we became an eternal two, and in 26 this year we became the three we dreamed of," adding, "A beautiful life has come to my small belly," announcing her pregnancy.
Kim Ji-min said, "Relying on the oppa who comforted me, urging me not to overdo it and not to be impatient, I started the first IVF! I am really grateful, it seems the little one came in just one try," and expressed affection, "Many people asked during that time, and although I usually don't keep my mouth that shut, the reason I kept the secret until now is all because of the little one."
On the same day, Kim Jun-Ho also expressed emotion, saying, "A small miracle that came to us like a fairy tale. My beloved wife and our baby. Let us meet healthily and a new chapter of our family begins."
According to the agency, Kim Ji-min is currently 12 weeks pregnant and is due to give birth in February next year. Kim Jun-Ho became a father at the age of 50. Fathers who have children late in their 50s are commonly called 'late-in-life baby' fathers, and Kim Jun-Ho has joined that group.
Before Kim Jun-Ho, singers and actors including Shin Sung-woo, An Jaewook, Kim Gu Ra, Lee Byung-hun, Kim Won-jun, Shin Hyun-joon, and Jung Jun-ho have become parents in their 50s and continued raising children. They have expressed satisfaction with late parenthood and shown affection for their children on numerous broadcasts.
Meanwhile, Kim Ji-min married comedian Kim Jun-Ho, who is eight years her senior, in July last year. The couple said after marriage that they planned to have a child and were attempting in vitro fertilization.
