Hollywood actress KT Holmes is giving full support to her daughter Suri Cruise (20) after Suri officially removed her father Tom Cruise's surname and changed her name.
According to foreign media reports on the 30th (local time), KT Holmes has been a strong pillar for her daughter since news emerged that Suri had abandoned the surname of her estranged father Tom Cruise.
A close source told media, "KT Holmes was not at all surprised that Suri decided to remove 'Cruise' from her legal surname. That's just like Suri," adding, "This decision did not happen overnight. It was an evolution over a long time, and KT respected her daughter's thinking throughout the entire process."
Another insider also said that KT Holmes, now 47, believes her daughter Suri, who just turned 20, is mature enough and that she 100% supports decisions Suri feels are right for herself. In particular, Holmes did not force or induce her daughter to make this decision; it is reportedly a choice made entirely by Suri herself. Tom Cruise (64) has been completely estranged from Suri for years since his 2012 divorce from KT Holmes, after Holmes left the Church of Scientology and obtained sole custody of their daughter. The last time the two were seen together in public was their 2012 Disneyland trip.
