The group NewJeans added another record during their hiatus.
ADOR said on the 30th, "According to Spotify, NewJeans' double single 'How Sweet' and the title track of the same name had accumulated 302,621,152 streams as of the 25th."
With this, NewJeans added the team's ninth song to reach 300 million streams. It proved their unchanged popularity despite not being active for about two years.
NewJeans' "How Sweet" was released on May 24, 2024, and is a bouncy hip-hop style song based on Miami bass. At the time of release it charted for 13 consecutive weeks on the U.S. Billboard "Global 200," drawing global popularity.
NewJeans is approaching a cumulative total of 8 billion combined streams on Spotify from all the songs they have released.
NewJeans recently marked their 4th anniversary since debut by releasing a commemorative video that reunited members Min-ji, Hanni, Haerin and Hye-in after two years, announcing activities and drawing great interest.
