Actor Seo Hyorim will take over the late Kim Sumi's kimchi business.
On the 30th, Seo Hyorim posted multiple photos on her social media with the caption "I will take napa cabbage and radish and go out into the world Kim Sumi kimchi Seo Hyorim kimchi."
The released photos draw attention, showing Seo Hyorim wearing a white apron holding napa cabbage and radish in both hands and posing, and also wearing a hanbok.
Earlier, Seo Hyorim had said she planned to continue the kimchi business of her mother-in-law, the late Kim Sumi. She said, "I was happy and grateful to be her daughter-in-law and learned many things," and added, "I will try to carry on the short but deep memories with my mother that I could not voice and my mother's homemade flavors."
Meanwhile, Seo Hyorim married Jung Myung-ho, the son of Kim Sumi and CEO of Napalggot F&B, in 2019. Kim Sumi passed away in October 2024.
