On the 30th, Kim Seon-tae posted a video titled "I'm sorry" on his personal YouTube channel.
That day, Kim Seon-tae bowed his head and said, "First, I sincerely apologize to everyone who was hurt by the pre-release video uploaded to the KBS YouTube channel yesterday."
Kim Seon-tae said, "I first saw the video around 8:40 p.m. yesterday. As soon as I recognized that a problem had occurred, I asked the production team to delete the video," and reflected, "Even though it was a video released under my name, I was truly irresponsible."
He added, "I hid behind the name of a broadcaster and did not request prior review or pre-release of the video. It is clearly my fault that I made excessive remarks about the guest, as many pointed out," and apologized.
Kim Seon-tae said, "Because it was the first shoot for the program, I was so focused on handling the script on the day of filming that I did not recognize any problems in the script on site. After the video was made private, I took time to reflect on my words and actions. From now on, I will be more careful with everything I say and do."
He continued, "I will work to ensure this never happens again. I want to say I am truly sorry to everyone harmed by my shortcomings, especially the members of RESCENE. I'm sorry," and bowed his head again.
The day before, a pre-release video of KBS' web variety show "Money Seon-tae: Age of Success" showed Kim Seon-tae asking RESCENE's Won about the "scary, huh controversy." In particular, the web show added hashtags such as Lee Jae-myung, Han Dong-hoon, Chey Tae-won, Hong Myung-bo, Min Hee-jin, and NewJeans to the pre-release video and mentioned the incident, drawing criticism that it was trying to stir up what is commonly called "aggro."
In the end, Kim Seon-tae posted an apology video on his channel and expressed regret to the members of RESCENE.
