Actor and singer Lee Hae young finally shared a meaningful outcome after six years of battling lung cancer.
On the afternoon of the 30th, a video titled "6th year of battling lung cancer, Lee Hae young before her final test ft. announcements" was posted on the YouTube channel Cantstop Haeyoung.
On the day of her fifth follow-up test, Lee Hae young could not hide her nervousness. When asked "How do you feel?" she said "I feel like my heart has stopped," conveying her trembling emotions without reservation.
But the test results, carried out amid her nervousness, were enough to console her for all she had endured. Leaving the hospital after hearing the results, Lee Hae young wore a bright expression and said "The conclusion is that my lung has grown." The lung that had been empty from surgery had regrown on its own, restoring a significant portion of lung function. In fact, in an earlier conversation with her attending doctor she had said "For some reason it feels a little easier to breathe," reporting the change in her physical condition.
She added, "I'm not completely cured yet. It means the cancer has not spread any further. For now, I'm graduating from this lung cancer. But since I don't know when or how things might change, I always have to live healthily," delivering a calm yet overwhelming sentiment.
